Thank you for your Generosity and Support!

Events like The American Cancer Society Relay for life are full special moments, some of them touch your soul very deep inside. I was very emotional touched by one of them when I witnessed a couple cry over their son’s Luminary. Just to think that every one of them was or is somebody’s parent, brother, sister or child makes a cancer fund raiser a very emotional event. Thank you once again and LiveStrong!!

The Manifesto of the Lance Armstrong Foundation

...Unity is strength Knowledge is power . Attitude is everything We believe in life Your life!!!...

We believe in life.
Your life.
We believe in living every minute of it with every ounce of your being.
And that you must not let cancer take control of it.
We believe in energy: channeled and fierce.
We believe in focus: getting smart and living strong.
Unity is strength. Knowledge is power. Attitude is everything.
This is the Lance Armstrong Foundation.

We kick in the moment you’re diagnosed.
We help you accept the tears. Acknowledge the rage.
We believe in your right to live without pain.
We believe in information. Not pity.
And in straight, open talk about cancer.
With husbands, wives and partners. With kids, friends and neighbors. And the people you live with, work with, cry and laugh with.
This is no time to pull punches.
You’re in the fight of your life.

We’re about the hard stuff.
Like finding the nerve to ask for a second opinion.
And a third, or a fourth, if that’s what it takes.
We’re about getting smart about clinical trials.
And if it comes to it, being in control of how your life ends.
It’s your life. You will have it your way.

We’re about the practical stuff.
Planning for surviving. Banking your sperm. Preserving your fertility. Organizing your finances. Dealing with hospitals, specialists, insurance companies and employers.
It’s knowing your rights.
It’s your life.
Take no prisoners.

We’re about the fight.
We’re your champion on Capitol Hill. Your advocate with the healthcare system. Your sponsor in the research labs.
And we know the fight never ends.
Cancer may leave your body, but it never leaves your life.
This is the Lance Armstrong Foundation.
Founded and inspired by one of the toughest cancer survivors on the planet.

LIVESTRONG™

Wednesday, May 17, is LIVESTRONG Day!

Wherever you are, you can make a difference in the fight against cancer. Here are some ways to participate on LIVESTRONG Day: Wear yellow and encourage your family, friends, neighbors and colleagues to do the same. If you can not take part in a LIVESTRONG Day activity, then do something to empower you! Lead by example, do something for yourself or others touched by cancer.
I wont be able to participate in LIVESTRONG Day activity but in honor to those close to me touched by cancer I will ride my bicycle 50 miles after work, I will wear yellow!
On Saturday May 20th, I will participate along with my daughter Diana in the American Cancer Society “Relay for Life” at Edgewood middle school in West Covina. Diana is committed to raise money in behalf of the American Cancer society.
Together, we can affect positive change in the fight against cancer!

...Squares... Say it with
squares! inside the box!!!...

From “The Complete Idiot’s Guide To Sport Nutrition” book:

On a normal day, doing regular activities, you loose about 96 ounces of water, about 4 to 8 ounces from the soles of your feet, 16 ounces from perspiration, 48 ounces in urine and 16-32 ounces from breathing” This is a mind bogging number. How many ounces of water (not coffee or soda) do you drink a day? This is a very interesting book, if you want to check it out, this is the ISBN Number: 1-59257-102-6

We only get half of the story!

...Who is to blame then? how many SUV
do we own per family? can we make fair judgments!!!...

The LA Times reported on April 29 2006 Exxon Mobil made a net income of $8.4 billion on sales of 89 billion for the quarter, a margin of 9.4%. Read this article alone and the oil companies sure appear to be the bad guys. But what about Microsoft 2.98 billion on sales of 10.9 billion for the same time period, a margin of 27.3%!!!

For some of you business geeks will agree that a profit of 9.4 % is a good but not out scale margin. What about 27.3%, who is doing the jacking up in this picture?

Who is to blame then, how many SUV do we own per family? Do we need a beast of a vehicle for grocery shopping?

Now days you can not longer take what the media reports, most of the times is poorly researched and inconclusive to make fair judgments!!!
